Types of breathwork retreats on Koh Phangan

Pranayama

Holotropic Breathwork

Wim Hof Method

Conscious Connected Breathing

A gentle, continuous circular breath (no pause between inhale and exhale). Clears stored emotional patterns and creates a deep sense of aliveness. Suitable for complete beginners.

What happens at a breathwork retreat?

Typical day structure. Most breathwork retreats follow a pattern: morning Pranayama to energize, afternoon deep-process breathwork for emotional work, and evening meditation for integration.

Physical sensations. During a session you may experience tingling, temperature changes, strong emotions, or altered states. This is normal and passes. A good facilitator will help you navigate whatever arises.

Emotional release. Breathwork often surfaces stored emotions — grief, joy, anger, love. This is the healing mechanism. Come with openness and no specific expectations.

Integration time. Retreats include journaling, sharing circles, and free time for integration. Don't plan intensive activities immediately after sessions.

Who it's for. Anyone seeking emotional release, deeper self-awareness, stress reduction, or an expansion of consciousness. No experience necessary for most programs.
